Viva Cuba is a tiny bit further out from the city centre, but we can put bookers in touch with each other to arrange taxi's together for those who'd like to. Abby will be in touch with all bookers directly.

Friends of Ham specialises in fine charcuterie, cheeses and craft beer. Platters on top of platters will be served for you to share amongst the group, ensuring no one will go hungry. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available so no one misses out.

Julie the Musical at Carriageworks Theatre
For those looking for more entertainment and less chatting, this social could be great for you. There will be a short meet up before the musical starts where you can have some food and a natter to some fellow delegates before heading into the theatre to be thoroughly entertained.

Carriageworks Theatre presents 'Julie: the Musical' which tells the tale of the historical LGBTQ+ historical figure Julie D'Aubigny. Written by Abey Bradbury, Carriageworks Theatre says 'JULIE: The Musical celebrates this extraordinary life, queerness and carving a place for yourself in a world not built for you'.

Food and networking will start from 6.30pm in the Millennium Room at the Carriageworks Theatre, and the musical will start at 7.30, running for 2 hours including the interval.

Salsa Dancing and Tapas night
For people perhaps looking for a different kind of social, join us for a Salsa Class and tapas at Casa Leeds. Maybe sitting down all day at Conference has left you feeling the need to move your body a little bit? Now's your chance!

Casa Leeds has a bar so once you've finished your lesson and food you can stay and chat with the rest of the group or you can go your own way.

Summer Exhibition at the Henry Moore Institute
This smaller social, sponsored by Art Fund, offers you the opportunity to socialise in a quieter environment.

We’ll be heading to the Henry Moore Institute for an evening of culture and conversation, where you’ll have the option of joining a guided tour of ‘The Weight of Words‘ exhibition, followed by delicious drinks and nibbles with friends.

Included in your AMA Conference ticket cost are drinks and canapes.

Summer Social at The Tetley
Celebrate the mid-way point of the AMA Conference at our Summer Social.

This year’s main event will take place at The Tetley, where delegates will be treated to a veggie/vegan BBQ.

This is the social for you if you enjoy a lively atmosphere and would love to meet lots of people.

The BBQ and a welcome drink are included in your AMA Conference ticket cost, and there will be a cash and card bar available for any additional refreshments.

The AMA Conference social events offer you the chance to re-charge and build your networks.

The main socials take place on Thursday 13 July, with various starting times from 7pm. You'll be able to chose from a huge variety of different events, designed for people who like to meet and connect in different ways. Please read the social descriptions for more information.

Please note: some socials have a limited capacity and will be subject to availability. Places at social events are booked on a first-come first-served basis, so we can't guarantee availability unless you book early.
